A new digital platform DOLAB-JICA has been launched to provide Vietnamese workers with transparent and verified information about jobs in Japan.

As the demand for working in Japan continues to rise, a new digital platform DOLAB-JICA has been launched to provide Vietnamese workers with transparent and verified job information. The platform eliminates the need for intermediaries and significantly reduces the risk of fraud.

This initiative is a collaboration between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Department of Overseas Labour Management, with software development and coordination led by ABeam Consulting Vietnam, a leading strategic and technology consulting firm.

The DOLAB-JICA application serves as a digital tool enabling Vietnamese workers to access clear, verified job postings from Japanese companies approved by the Department of Overseas Labour Management.

Users can view essential job details such as company names, job categories, responsibilities, contract duration, salary, allowances, and all costs prior to departure.

Yosuke Kobayashi, chief representative of JICA Vietnam, said, "We are striving to change the paradigm of labour migration by empowering prospective workers through the power of digital transformation. Moving forward, we plan to expand the project's impact beyond Vietnam, in partnership with the International Labour Organisation and the Japan Platform for Migrant Workers Towards Responsible and Inclusive Society, to ensure that all workers coming to Japan are effectively protected.”

The project began in August 2023 with the completion of the basic design phase. Phase two, which focused on launching the web platform and mobile app, started in April 2024.

By April 2025, the platform had achieved over 27,000 site visits, 956 job postings updated, 230 app downloads from Google Play and App Store, 159 worker accounts created, and training conducted for 263 service providers on platform usage and system operations

Ryohei Oda, managing director of ABeam Consulting Vietnam, stated, “At ABeam Consulting Vietnam, we’re proud to contribute to a project that reflects our long-term commitment to social transformation. We believe in the power of technology not just to grow businesses, but also to create social value and empower individuals.”

The DOLAB-JICA project is a key part of ABeam’s social transformation strategy in Vietnam, leveraging technology to improve social wellbeing, enhance transparency, and protect citizens' rights.
