The Women's Union of Lao Cai province launched the "2024 Business Initiative Challenge" in collaboration with Aide et Action (AEA) on March 22.
The challenge is part of a project themed "Promoting career and business development for youth and women".
The 2024 Business Initiative Challenge was launched on March 22In Lao Cai, the project is being implemented in Lao Cai city, Sa Pa town and Bac Ha district from 2023-2026.
The Business Initiative Challenge aims to encourage ethnic minority youths, especially young women aged 18-35, to build local startup initiatives and increase incomes in target areas.
Startup entrants to the competition must be innovative, creative, feasible, practical, and associated with socioeconomic development goals and local strengths with priorities giving to those aimed at solving social and environmental problems.
The 2024 Business Initiative Challenge was launched on March 22Participating in the contest, winning ideas and initiatives will have the opportunity to receive financial support and technical expertise and training to improve capacity and business management skills. In addition, winners will have the opportunity to expand their network of business partners and learn experiences from investors and startup experts.
The competition is being organised in the form of a written project proposal. The application submission period is from March 7 to April 15. The final round of the competition will take place on June 30, 2024.
At the launch ceremony, Nguyen Thi Tu Nga, programme manager of AEA, said that the Business Initiative Challenge is a great opportunity to promote the innovative startup movement, contributing to local socioeconomic development while further enhancing the position and role of Vietnamese youth and women.
