According to data from the National Load Dispatch Centre, electricity consumption in the northern region alone has increased significantly but not surpassed the previous peak. These indicators are forecast to continue rising, increasing the pressure on power supply during upcoming peak heatwaves.
To ensure supply as directed by the Prime Minister, the Vietnam Electricity and related units have been implementing a series of measures to optimise the operation of the electricity system and market.
Other important tasks include enhancing electricity import, accelerating investment progress, and encouraging customers to use electricity efficiently and economically.
