The 31st Vietnam Expo is the most long-established trade promotion event in Vietnam and is annually hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, directed by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, and organised by Vinexad JSC.
Over the past 30 years, the Vietnam Expo has become a prestigious trademark for not only Vietnamese but also foreign businesses to promote and introduce their products.
This year, the Vietnam Expo will take place on April 13-16 in Hanoi's International Exhibition Center (ICE) at 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, featuring many exhibition zones such as the Vietnam Value & Export; Machinery & Supporting Industry; Digital Technology & e-Commerce; and Food & Beverage.
Making the most of their customer base, the organisers focused on running practical business-to-business programmes meeting the demand from enterprises. This is one of most significant features of the show to attract visitors. In 2019 and 2021, there were 21,500 and 10,250 visitors respectively.

The plan to open international flights will open up many opportunities for the international and local business community. Many national pavilions have officially confirmed their participation at the Vietnam Expo this year, including South Korea, Belarus, Russia, Japan, the US, Cuba, Malaysia, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, many more.
In 2022, the Vietnam Expo welcomes South Korea as a special guest. As a result, the South Korean Pavilion will impress visitors with a large exhibition scale, diverse exhibits, and a great number of leading exhibitors.
It is the 23rd year in a row that the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency in Hanoi has chosen the Vietnam Expo a wide range of investment and trade connection activities among South Korea, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian countries.
Online and offline match-making programmes are expected to bring enterprises together. Moreover, this year celebrates the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea, which is an important milestone for promoting bilateral cooperation and enhancing comprehensive strategic partnerships between the two countries.
Belarus will also be a special guest at the Vietnam Expo, which was mentioned during an official meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency on January 14.
Both leaders concurred to optimise the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union to enhance trade exchange between the two countries. The Belarus pavilion is planned to cover 200sq.m. At the exhibition, Belarusian enterprises will introduce preeminent products to the Vietnamese market.
Entering the digitalised world together
“Technological solutions are omnipresent. That is why direct business match-making fairs like the Vietnam Expo create many opportunities to reach targeted customers”, said Dao Quang Dung, CEO at Eastern Sun.
The theme Step Together in the Digitalised World continues last year's topic Digital Technology & e-Commerce, which had been defined as one of four main exhibit categories at the Vietnam Expo 2021, attracting broad support from the business community.
There were nearly 40 local and foreign exhibitors introducing digital technology applications, services, solutions, and products, which attracted more than 5,000 visitors. With the coordination of ministries, local trade promotion departments, and foreign trading organisations, this year's expo aims at accompanying businesses to promote import and export, develop the domestic market, and diversify business types.
The Vietnam Expo 2022 is projected to welcome 350 exhibitors across 3,200sqm that will be divided into categories and countries.
Vietnamese enterprises are expected to account for 70 per cent of the total number of exhibitors. A special exhibition zone called Invest in Vietnam will carry the mission of promoting investment attraction in provinces and cities that will create momentum for the development of key industries associated with the local economic development orientation.
