As demand for qualified finance professionals intensifies across Asia-Pacific, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) will host its flagship Asia-Pacific Virtual Careers Fair (APAC VCF) 2025 on July 16, offering a fully digital platform to connect talent with leading employers in the region.
The event is expected to attract thousands of candidates from across South Asia, mainland Southeast Asia, and Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania. Participants will be able to access the event remotely through desktop or the vFairs mobile application.
According to ACCA, the careers fair is designed to support both jobseekers and recruiters through meaningful and efficient interaction. Candidates are encouraged to upload their CVs in advance, allowing employers to review profiles, schedule interviews, and assess suitability ahead of the event.
“APAC VCF is more than just a digital jobs board, it is an integrated ecosystem that facilitates quality connections between employers and future finance leaders,” said Steve Lee, regional head of employer partnerships for Asia-Pacific at ACCA. “Our goal is to help organisations build future-ready finance teams by meeting current needs and supporting long-term workforce development across the region.”
The careers fair takes place at a time when the finance profession is undergoing rapid transformation, with employers increasingly prioritising candidates with digital capabilities, ethical awareness, and sustainability knowledge. These competencies are essential for navigating an evolving business environment marked by digital disruption and ESG-driven investment priorities.

In 2024, the event welcomed 69 employers, including top-tier banks and auditing firms. More than 2,000 candidates participated, with over 75 per cent being ACCA members or students on track for membership. Within two weeks, over 500 job applications were submitted, underlining the platform’s effectiveness.
Employers benefit from real-time engagement with candidates and free global exposure for their job postings via ACCA Careers, ACCA’s dedicated recruitment portal, available year-round. Recruiters can create a free account to access a diverse global talent pool and streamline their hiring process.
Since its launch in March 2020, ACCA’s virtual careers fairs have been held more than 50 times across key markets, attracting over 200,000 participants and resulting in more than 57,000 job applications. To date, over 3,477 companies have leveraged the platform, with more than 210,000 job views, illustrating the increasing relevance of digital-first recruitment models within the finance sector.

In Vietnam, ACCA has established itself as a long-standing player in the development of the domestic finance and accounting workforce. The association currently supports over 1,300 members and approximately 6,000 students locally, providing internationally recognised qualifications, continuous professional development programmes, and research insights that are valued by employers across sectors.
With Vietnam’s deeper integration into regional and global value chains, initiatives such as APAC VCF present valuable opportunities for Vietnamese finance professionals to pursue cross-border careers and for Vietnamese firms to benchmark their talent strategies against international best practices. The virtual format also enables wider participation from second-tier cities and emerging economic zones, helping to close the talent gap and support a more inclusive, future-ready finance workforce across the country.
