FedEx, one of the world's largest express transportation companies, on February 4 expanded FedEx® International Connect Plus (FICP), its international, day-definite e-commerce shipping service, to Vietnam.
Already available for e-tailers operating in some Asia-Pacific markets such as China, Hong Kong SAR, and Japan, the service now empowers Vietnam-based e-tailers with a reliable and cost-effective shipping solution to key destinations in the United States and Europe.

This expanded coverage of FICP aligns with the company’s commitment to support the growth of cross-border e-commerce from Asia to the US and Europe. E-commerce sales in Asia are projected to reach $13,209 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.6 per cent from 2023 to 2030.
Vietnam’s e-commerce market is expected to reach $39 billion in 2025, making it one of the fastest growing markets in Southeast Asia. The Vietnamese government has also set an ambitious target that the digital economy will account for 20 per cent of the country’s GDP in 2025 and 30 per cent by 2030. With this expansion, e-commerce merchants in Vietnam can now offer their customers an international shipping solution with prices that offer greater value, while ensuring most shipments will be delivered between 2-3 business days to the US and Europe.
Key benefits of FICP for e-tailers and their customers include greater value, flexibility and control, seamless integration, and peace of mind.
"Vietnam is a vibrant market with enormous potential for growth in e-commerce,” said Ee-Hui Tan, managing director of FedEx Vietnam and Cambodia. “By introducing the FedEx International Connect Plus service to Vietnam, we are committed to supporting local businesses and e-tailers on their journey to expand their presence globally. This service is tailored to meet the unique needs of Vietnamese businesses, providing them with the tools they need to thrive in a competitive marketplace."
FedEx provides end-to-end e-commerce solutions that make order fulfilment easy and efficient for merchants, while offering convenience and reliability for customers receiving deliveries. FICP comes with the reliability of FedEx international, day-definite delivery service, coupled with its customs clearance expertise. It is further supported with capabilities including tracking, sending notifications to recipients, and flexible delivery options and visibility features via FedEx Delivery Manager® International.
