Hanoi promotion month kicks off

The month is also an occasion to help enterprises promote their brands, while consumers will have the opportunity to buy goods and services at attractive prices.

It is an annual event, which is organised by the Hanoi Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre (HPA) in collaboration with the participation of retailers and producers, including shopping centres, general supermarkets, electronics supermarkets, tourism businesses, restaurants, hotels, shipping businesses; banking system; telecommunications businesses; IT enterprises; construction enterprises; and e-commerce businesses.

This year, the event is from October 27 to the end of November and unfolds in the city's bustling commercial centres and venues.

The opening of the Hanoi Promotion Month also launched the Hanoi Shopping Festival, which took place from October 27-29, with 70 sales booths offering discounts from 20-50 per cent on thousands of consumer goods.

In addition, the most anticipated event of the Hanoi Promotion Month is scheduled to take place on November 11-12 with the participation of 50 golden sites, which are supermarkets and shopping centres.

They will offer discounts of up to 70 per cent on many goods such as TVs, fridges, microwave ovens and other consumer goods. Meanwhile, the 'Hanoi Online Festival' for 2023 will be held on the thangkhuyenmaihanoi.vn portal and various e-commerce websites of enterprises from November 24 to 30.

"The annual event provides a good opportunity for local businesses to increase sales and actively participate in the capital's supply-consumption ecosystem. The organising committee will integrate registered businesses' websites into the portal to make online shopping more convenient," said Nguyen Anh Duong, director of the HPA.

Hanoi Promotion Month 2022 aims to usher in numerous opportunities for consumers to engage in a chain of events with intriguing shopping experience at more than 1,000 stores belonging to businesses, production, and trading units from assorted economic sectors.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has emphasised that the industry and trade sector needs to diversify its exports, take the fullest advantage of opportunities from new-generation free trade agreements (FTAs), and produce high-demand products, aiming to reach the target of 6 per cent growth in export value this year.
