With a clear mission towards sustainability and leadership in industrial waste treatment, INSEE Vietnam is continuing to deepen its engagement with local communities through a series of environmental initiatives across the country.

In June, INSEE Vietnam joined forces with Dong Nai People’s Committee and Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to participate in the “Green Dong Nai Week” in Dinh Quan district. At the same time, the company partnered with Kien Luong Department of Agriculture and Environment and Kien Binh People’s Committee to organise the “Trash for Gifts” initiative for the third consecutive year in Kien Giang province.
At the “Green Dong Nai Week” event, the INSEE team introduced a wide range of environmental awareness activities, including interactive games and educational sessions on waste separation and recycling. Visitors were also given insights into INSEE’s modern waste treatment technologies through its Ecocycle platform, which provides sustainable solutions for industrial waste management. The company’s booth attracted nearly 100 participants and created an atmosphere of community engagement and positivity.
A key highlight of the event was the close collaboration between INSEE and Dong Nai authorities, particularly in the Ecocycle business line. The initiative received local support and earned INSEE formal recognition for its contributions to environmental protection in the province. The partnership underscores the company’s long-term commitment to supporting local governments in building cleaner, greener, and more sustainable communities.
Expanding its footprint in environmental advocacy, INSEE’s Hon Chong Cement Plant in Kien Giang worked closely with local authorities to host the third edition of “Trash for Gifts” on June 5. The programme enabled residents to exchange sorted waste for essential goods sponsored by INSEE, helping raise public awareness of waste classification at source.
The event collected 280kg of household waste, including plastic bottles, bags, and paper products, along with 101kg of hazardous waste such as batteries, light bulbs, and small electronic devices. Over 1,000 gift packages were distributed directly to participants, reinforcing the link between community participation and environmental responsibility.
Looking ahead, INSEE Vietnam is planning a tree planting festival in Kien Giang, committing to donate 10,000 cajuput trees to the Phu My Species and Habitat Conservation Area. This activity forms part of the company’s broader action plan to achieve a net positive impact on biodiversity by 2030.
Through these grassroots programmes, INSEE Vietnam continues to position itself as a pioneer in circular economy practices, resource conservation, and sustainable community development. The company believes that even small actions, from environmental education to waste exchange and reforestation, can collectively generate meaningful change for a greener future in Vietnam.
