The launch of the ACCA On-Demand Computer-Based Exam Centre by the University of Economics (UEH) Ho Chi Minh City and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants marks a strategic advancement in aligning education quality with international standards.
The centre will expand access to professional certifications for the accounting and auditing community in Vietnam.
This event marks a significant milestone in the strategic partnership between UEH and ACCA and affirms UEH’s ongoing efforts to integrate international professional certifications into formal education. The goal is to enhance the competitiveness and quality of Vietnam’s accounting and finance workforce amid increasing integration and digital transformation.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung, vice president of UEH, emphasised, “The establishment of the centre at UEH is a strategic step in our journey to standardise education quality in line with international benchmarks. It is designed not only for UEH students but also to serve the broader professional community in the region. This initiative forms a key part of the vocational education ecosystem that UEH is building, guided by modernity, flexibility, and global integration.”

“ACCA is one of UEH’s strategic partners. We are proud to have jointly launched the Sustainability Hub, an initiative that promotes the sustainable development of education in accounting and finance. These joint efforts will help solidify UEH’s role as a pioneer in developing high-quality human resources to meet the demands of integration and sustainable growth,” he added.
Recognising the strong partnership between ACCA and UEH over the past decade, Pulkit Abrol, director of ACCA Asia-Pacific, noted that UEH has one of the largest numbers of ACCA students and alumni in the region, underscoring the university’s academic reputation and strong international outlook.
“The launch of the centre right on the UEH campus offers greater convenience for the university’s students and benefits ACCA learners across Ho Chi Minh City and nearby provinces. It will allow candidates to complete their foundational exams in a professional, modern, and globally standardised environment,” he said.

The UEH Centre for Education Testing (UEH-CET) has been authorised under ACCA’s CBE License No. 2025/26 to deliver computer-based exams at both the Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills levels of the ACCA qualification. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, certified computer systems, and a highly professional operating team, the centre will provide an optimal environment for students and candidates to take their exams on campus.
The partnership between UEH and ACCA, established in 2011, has continued to grow and evolve through internationally recognised training programmes, professional seminars, and capacity-building initiatives. Notable strategic directions include the launch of the Integrated Accounting Programme with ACCA certification at the UEH School of Business’ Faculty of Accounting, and the expansion of access to students across all UEH departments.

In addition, the two institutions have co-developed the Sustainable Education Hub, offering training in international certificates related to sustainable development, financial reporting, data analytics, and digital technology applications in accounting and finance.
With a clear roadmap and long-term vision, ACCA and UEH continue to affirm their role as pioneers in training elite accounting and finance students, and nurturing future global citizens.
