Hoiana Resort & Golf, the only integrated resort in Central Vietnam, has announced the appointment of three new appointees in various management positions.
Jimmy Lopez has been promoted to hotel manager for Hoiana Resort & Golf. Lopez joined the Rosewood Hotel Group in 2019 as complex food and beverages director, before broadening his responsibilities to complex director of operations. Prior to working for Rosewood, he held managerial positions at hospitality companies such as Melco, Jumeirah, and Ritz-Carlton.
“I am truly delighted to be entrusted with the enormous responsibility of assuming leadership of the three hotels within Hoiana Resort & Golf. My relentless commitment to excellence is strengthened daily by knowing I am part of what I, and many others, consider to be the greatest hotel group in the industry, whose values strongly resonate with mine," Lopez said.
Dawn Zhao, director of Sales and MarketingDawn Zhao has been appointed as cluster director of Sales and Marketing. She brings over 15 years of sales and marketing experience gained while working at some of the world's most successful businesses.
Zhao comes to Hoiana with a diverse background, and she has previously worked for several world-leading hotel chains. Starting in sales at the first Marriott hotel in China, she worked her way up to director of Sales and Marketing at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Shanghai.
She was then transferred to Hotel Indigo, IHG's first lifestyle hotel brand in the Asia-Pacific region. Continually seeking new challenges, Zhao later joined Hong Kong Disneyland to lead business strategy for the market.
Her passion for hospitality saw her return to the industry as sales and marketing director for Andaz in Shanghai. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the most ambitious tourism development in Vietnam. I am looking forward to leading the sales and marking function and contributing to Hoiana's success," Zhao said.
Meanwhile, Jiangpeng Yu has been appointed as executive assistant manager for rooms. Originally from China, Yu has over 10 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry and has been progressively taking up senior positions throughout his career.
Yu started his career in the United States and holds a bachelor's degree in hospitality management from the University of Nevada. After graduation, Yu relocated to Asia to start his journey with some of the leading organisations in the hospitality industry such as the Four Seasons, Wynn, Atlantis, and Rosewood.
“I am extremely excited to join Hoiana Hotels and cannot wait to explore this amazing country and connect with the operations team. Together, we are going to build something great and make Hoiana a unique destination for global travellers,” Yu said.
