Total retail sales of consumer goods and services in Hanoi in the first 11 months of 2024 reached VND780.1 trillion ($32.5 billion), up 10.9 per cent on-year.
In November, the retail sales of consumer goods and services were estimated at $3.37 billion, up 2.2 per cent over the previous month and up 12 per cent over the same period in 2023.
According to the Hanoi Statistics Office, in November 2024, Hanoi is focused on promoting price stabilisation, regional linkage, trade promotion, and implementing the “Vietnamese people to prioritise using Vietnamese goods” campaign.
Hanoi has chaired and coordinated activities to ensure the trade of goods and agricultural products with many provinces and cities across the country. The city also coordinates the provision of information connecting products from localities with distribution systems in Hanoi, contributing to ensuring high supply and demand of goods.
The total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in November 2024 is estimated to reach $3.37 billion, up 2.2 per cent over the previous month and up 12 per cent over the same period in 2023.
Of which, retail sales of goods reached $2.1 billion, up 2.3 per cent on-month. Hotel and restaurant revenue reached $479.16 million, up 1.7 per cent on-month, tourism revenue reached $125 million, and other service revenue reached $645.8 million.
In the first 11 months of 2024, the total retail sales of consumer goods and services in Hanoi reached $32.5 billion, an increase of 10.9 per cent. Of which, retail sales of goods reached $25.5 billion, accounting for 63.1 per cent of the total and increasing by 11.1 per cent on-year.
Hotel and restaurant revenue reached $4.4 billion, accounting for 13.7 per cent of the whole country and increasing by 10.7 compared to the same period last year. Tourism revenue reached $1.87 billion. Other service revenue reached $6.42 billion.
Furthermore, in November, the total revenue from transportation, support services and postal delivery in the city was estimated at $854.1 million, up 22 per cent over the same period in 2023. The figure for eleven months was estimated at $8.4 billion.
