Singaporean real estate firm Soilbuild International held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Spectrum Nghe An ready-built facility in WHA Industrial Zone 1 in Nghe An province on August 1.
Guests included representatives from Dong Nam Economic Zone Management Board, Nghi Loc district, WHA Group, Hop Luc Company, and other distinguished delegates. Their presence highlighted the significance of this project in advancing sustainable development in Vietnam.
With a total investment of $45 million, the project will span 15.6 hectares within WHA Industrial Zone 1 (the second phase) in Nghi Dong commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province. It was awarded an investment certificate by Nghe An People's Committee last September and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2025.
The facility offers direct toll-free access via Highway No.7C, Asian Highway No.1A, and the North-South Expressway. Positioned as an international gateway, it is just a 25-minute drive from Vinh International Airport and Cua Lo Seaport, providing tenants with exceptional accessibility and convenience.
The site's appeal is enhanced by a special tax incentive for the first 15 years and the proximity of major foreign companies like Goertex, Sunny, and Foxconn. This makes it an ideal emerging hub for industrial manufacturers and e-commerce companies.
Ben Ding Khoon Yew, general director of Soilbuild International (Vietnam)Speaking at the ceremony, general director Ben Ding Khoon Yew said, "Today, Soilbuild not only breaks ground but also lays the foundation for our future success in Vietnam. Following Nghe An, we plan to launch additional industrial projects in Bac Ninh and Hung Yen provinces, while fostering growth and supporting businesses in Nghe An."
Director of Dong Nam Economic Zone Management Board Le Tien Tri congratulated everyone at the groundbreaking ceremony. He expressed confidence that once operational, Spectrum Nghe An would attract more investment, create numerous job opportunities for local workers, increase state budget revenue, and drive socioeconomic development.
"This is a significant step forward, contributing to economic restructuring and leveraging the full potential and advantages of Nghe An province to achieve rapid and sustainable development," said Tri.
Anchalee Prasertchand, vice president of WHA Industrial Development Plc., said, "Soilbuild’s dedication to excellence and innovation resonates deeply with our values at WHA Vietnam. We are building more than just facilities; we are creating an ecosystem that fosters economic growth, nurtures local talent, and provides sustainable solutions that benefit not only businesses but also the communities we serve."
Featuring ready-built facilities ranging from 3,200 to 14,000 square metres, Spectrum Nghe An has been developed in accordance with LEED Green Building Standards.
