Two CSR initiatives run by TCP Vietnam have been named among the top 10 most influential campaigns on social media in the second half of 2024.

On May 12, TCP Vietnam announced this recognition which reflects the campaigns’ wide digital reach and their profound impact on the community, especially young people and people with disabilities across Vietnam.

The ranking was compiled based on social media engagement data from July to December 2024. Eligible campaigns had to meet rigorous criteria, implementing at least three different digital engagement formats (music videos, mini-games, KOL/celebrity partnerships, press releases), applying CSR-themed hashtags, and conveying meaningful, positive messages.

Among hundreds of entries, Light of Vietnam Perseverance and Community Sport Yard stood out for their compelling storytelling, human-centred messages, wide community reach, and well-orchestrated communications strategies.

Jointly organised by the Vietnam Youth Federation Central Committee and TCP Vietnam, Light of Vietnam Perseverance is an annual initiative that honours young people with disabilities who have risen above adversity and become beacons of hope and inspiration in their communities.

In 2024, 38 individuals were recognised for their unwavering determination and active contributions to society. Among them was Nguyen Thuy Chi, co-founder and deputy director of Cham Vao Xanh Co., Ltd., a social enterprise providing employment and creative space for nearly 20 artists and artisans with disabilities. Despite her own severe disability and dependence on specialised care, Thuy Chi turned her challenges into strength, creating opportunities for others to thrive.

Another moving story is that of Nguyen Ngoc Nhut, a final-year student at HUTECH University, who, despite losing both arms below the elbow, became a source of positivity through his social media channel “Cut Yeu Doi”, inspiring thousands of people with his humour, optimism, and can-do spirit.

Through video stories, media articles, and heartfelt community messages, the programme spread values of empathy, perseverance, and belief in the human spirit. Hashtags such as #Toasangnlv and #TCPVietnam served as digital threads that connected these stories to the wider public, generating tens of thousands of engagements and heartfelt reactions.

Launched in September 2024 in collaboration with the Vietnam Youth Federation and the National Volunteer Centre, the Community Sport Yard initiative aims to inspire an active lifestyle among young people while fostering solidarity and positive habits through sports.

Each “Sport Yard” is at least 1,000 square metres in size, equipped with multi-functional facilities such as football, volleyball, and badminton courts, pickleball areas, and modern outdoor fitness equipment. By the end of 2024, nine community sports spaces had been established across Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Thanh Hoa, Bac Ninh, Dong Nai, Bac Giang, and Nghe An, offering safe, accessible, and inclusive venues for thousands of youth and local residents.

The campaign featured the involvement of public figures including football star Nguyen Tien Linh and swimming champion Anh Vien, whose participation sparked even greater excitement and media attention. Mini-games, youth sports tournaments, and media storytelling helped convey the project’s core message: a strong body nurtures a strong spirit and community.

These Sport Yards are more than just physical spaces – they have become gathering grounds for connection, vitality, and community pride, where young people find motivation, friendship, and a renewed love for movement and life.
