In the year of the Tiger 2022, Tiger Beer continues its inspirational journey to encourage people to let go of all fears and rise to great aspirations by launching a new product line specifically for the consumers in Hanoi and the northern provinces.
This product is the result of Tiger's long-term research on the culture, preferences, and consumption habits of customers in the northern market.
Founded in 1932 in Singapore, with a strict production process and premium ingredients, Tiger Beer owns a preeminent taste and quickly became the number one international premium beer brand in Asia, present in more than 60 countries worldwide.
The Heineken Vietnam Hanoi Brewery was established in 1996 in Thuong Tin district, HanoiDespite all the difficulties to create the perfect beer taste, the balance between boldness and refreshing, Tiger beer has constantly taken refreshment to the next level and made the impossible possible for decades.
Over the 90 years of its development, Tiger has received more than 40 international titles and awards, such as the Gold Medal at the beer industry awards in the UK in 1998, considered the Oscar of the beer industry.
At the Beer Olympics, Tiger also won gold medals in 2004 and 2010 for the European-style Pilsner and Lager beer categories. In 2013, Tiger was awarded a silver medal at the awards and won a gold award for the Premium Flavour category of the Global Association for Quality Management.
In 2019, the Heineken Hanoi Factory merged into Heineken Vietnam Brewery and became one of six factories of Heineken VietnamTiger is a brand of the Heineken Vietnam ecosystem, a joint venture between Heineken Group and Saigon Trading Corporation.
In Vietnam, Heineken manufactures and distributes Heineken, Tiger, Larue, BIVINA, Bia Viet, Strongbow, and Edelweiss, including products created by Vietnamese brewers, exclusively for Vietnamese people.
The brewery has a capacity of 300 million litres per year and a system of machinery and technology following the global standards of Heineken GroupHeineken Vietnam pursued the commitment to a better Vietnam from the very first day of its establishment and has been honoured by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry as one of the three most sustainable companies in Vietnam for six consecutive years from 2016 to 2021.
Currently, Heineken uses 52 per cent renewable energy at its factories and reuses or recycles all waste and by-products.
The factory has invested in technology to use biomass energy, and the beer here is brewed entirely with renewable energyHeineken is also a pioneer in responsible drinking communication activities.
Heineken 0.0 was introduced by Heineken Vietnam in 2020 in an effort to accompany the government to promote staying sober when driving a vehicle.
