EI Industrial, the first industry-focused business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce marketplace in Vietnam today relaunched as Halana. Launched in 2019, Halana empowers suppliers and businesses to streamline manual processes with its SaaS solutions, end-to-end e-procurement, and warehouse management system.
Vietnamese businesses suffer from manual and inefficient procurement processes resulting in wasted time and higher costs for purchasers. Additionally, purchases are made more difficult with the lack of price transparency. As a result, an order can take over two weeks to complete.
With Halana, purchasers can quickly source from multiple suppliers and identify the best deals available. The platform is free to use for all suppliers, empowering them to digitalise and maximise their reach to customers across Vietnam.
Focused on its core mission of accelerating digital procurement across the supply chain industry, Halana’s vision aligns with the National Digital Transformation Programme which aims to incentivise businesses to prioritise digitalisation in Vietnam.
Last year, Halana has grown rapidly against the backdrop of recurring lockdowns. The company saw a doubling of customers in the first three months of 2022, serving global companies such as the Esquel Group, Heineken, Toshiba, Olam, Aqua, Oishi, Wahl, and Central Group. With its recently upgraded platform, the company plans to grow sales by an average of 40 per cent per month to hit a run-rate of $20 million by year-end.
The company also works with over 640 sellers to meet the growing procurement demands, including multinational companies like Schneider Electric, Bosch, Honeywell, and 3M. Halana is onboarding hundreds of new sellers for the 20 categories listed on its marketplace and supports over half a million products.
“Halana is inspired by the hometown of the three founders, “Hà Lan A” in South Vietnam, which became a new economic zone in the middle of the last century. My team and I are very excited to introduce a brand name that fully embodies our company's entrepreneurial and innovative spirit. The impact of COVID-19 has allowed Halana to become the go-to platform for industrial goods procurement in Vietnam," said Anthony Ho Phi An, CEO and co-founder of Halana.
Halana is the first industrial-focused B2B marketplace in Vietnam. Halana enables manufacturing and construction businesses to streamline procurement processes with its easy-to-use SaaS solutions, e-procurement, and warehouse management system.
