Wedge Holdings hosts Chara x Card Game Fest at 10th Vietnam-Japan Festival

To celebrate the inauguration of Metro Line 1 on March 9, Wedge Holdings presented the event theme "Chara x Card Game Fest," inspired by a train journey guiding attendees through exciting character anime, manga, and card game experiences at various themed stations.

At each stop, visitors had the opportunity to meet and take photos with their favourite characters, collect exclusive licensed merchandise, and engage in card game competitions to win valuable prizes, creating unforgettable memories.

The "Photo Station" recreated the worlds of Haikyu!!, Bleach, and Dragon on Hat, offering attendees the chance to "meet" and take pictures with their favourite anime characters, capturing fun and memorable moments.

The "Collection Station" was a haven for fans seeking character merchandise from Haikyu!!, Bleach, Dragon on Hat, and other popular anime and manga series from Japan. These products, officially licensed and developed by Wedge Holdings for the Vietnamese market, included character stationery such as notebooks, pens, and file folders, along with collectible items like badges, keychains, stickers, posters, and bags.

The "Battle Station" provided a unique cultural space for Trading Card Game (TCG) enthusiasts to engage in hands-on duelling experiences with some of the most popular games today. This station hosted competitive matches featuring Pokemon TCG, One Piece Card Game, Conan TCG, and Yugioh TCG, bringing together the largest TCG communities and groups in Vietnam. The event was the largest TCG tournament ever organised in Vietnam by Wedge Holdings in collaboration with Showa Brain Navi Vietnam (SBNV), the official distributor of licensed character collectibles and TCG products.

Additionally, during the 2025 Vietnam-Japan Festival, SBNV hosted two major TCG tournaments—"Haikyu!! Volleyball Card Game" and "Conan TCG Challenge"—offering valuable prizes.

Since the launch of the Haikyu!! Volleyball Card Game—the first officially localised Vietnamese version of a card game produced by Wedge Holdings and distributed by SBNV in 2018—the two companies have remained dedicated to Vietnam’s TCG community. They continuously introduce the latest officially licensed TCG products, organise events and tournaments, and foster a growing and vibrant gaming community.
