166 students, who are children of officials and staff under the Vietnam Public Sector Union and received the first prizes at the national- and international-level competitions in the 2021-2022 school year, have been honoured at the ceremony this morning in Hanoi.
Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the ceremony and presented prizes to the 166 best students.
Ngo Duy Hieu, vice chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and chairman of the Vietnam Public Sector Union, highly appreciated the study results of the students and highlighted, "The students' good outcomes have enabled their parents to spend all efforts on working for the country's development."
Nguyen Dinh Khang, chairman of the confederation, said that being studious is a long-standing tradition of the Vietnamese nation.
"The children have studied very well and gained very good achievements. Despite being young, they have got a passion for research, creativity, and understanding of social and scientific issues, contributing to the development of the country," highlighted Khang.
Vu Ha Anh, representative for all students, spoke at the ceremonyVu Ha Anh from the Reigate Grammar School Vietnam, who is the winner of the Speak To Inspire Vietnam debate competition, said that she and all students are well aware that these are only beginning successes for the journey to conquer knowledge and science.
"It is necessary to promote what has been achieved in order to reach the peaks of intellect, update skills, and further train ourselves to become useful citizens for the country in the future. I always determine the importance of self-study and active research. I usually try my best to find effective learning methods. I feel joy in learning and enjoy pride in getting good results," said Ha Anh.
Previously, she got a lot of prizes related to speaking, debating, and English in the country.

Do Ngoc Bao Linh from Hoang Mai Primary School, who won a gold medal at the Thailand International Mathematic Olympiad 2022's national finals, felt happy to receive the highest prize.
"The examinations are quite hard, but I have tried to learn so hard. Thanks to the experience last year, when I got the bronze medal, I have gained a better result this year," said Linh.

I feel so happy without any stress to join the contests. In the future, I would like to focus on IT to create more technologies and values for life."
